Chapter 3: Verse 3 I am a letter, from Jesus Christ, written by the Spirit of God, not on tablets of stone, but on the tablet of my heart. My dream is to write, and so that is one of the reasons this verse gets me going. We are Written, not with words, but with the Spirit of God. And this ties in with Ephesians 2:10, where Paul says, we are God’s workmenship created in Christ Jesus. The greek word in this verse is poiema, which is where we get our word poem, so the verse could read, we are God’s poem created in Christ Jesus. Jesus is the Word of God. I am God’s living poem, written in His Spirit, sung by his Word–Who is my LORD Jesus Christ.
Verse 17 “The LORD is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is…” I love this because, I know that the Holy Spirit is One with God, but this is one of only afew verses I’ve found that talks about it; there are probably more I haven’t come across yet. This is just one of the verses that touches on the Holy Trenity Who is God. Like I said earlier, I am an obsessive person, and this is one of my other good obsessions, and that is: God is One, meaning, The Father, Jesus and the Spirit are one beautiful LORD. Jesus says it in Mark 12:29, “Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God is One LORD.” God says it in Deuteronomy 6:4 “Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God Is One LORD the only LORD.” I’ve not yet studied Hebrew, but I have read that in the old testament, one of the names for God means three or more Persons, but still one God. The Hebrew name Adonai can be literally translated as my LORDS’.
The phraise Holy Trenity isn’t even used anywhere in the Bible, but verses like these are so deep and complex. “The LORD _is the Spirit.” “So there are three witnesses in heaven: the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit, and these three are One;” (1 John 5:7, Amplified) I am a poem, but God is the three Person One LORD, the most beautiful, manifold, mysterious _One. I can’t even say what I am trying to say, just praise God the LORD!
Verse 18 And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, (Amp) We look at Jesus and see God. “The glory of the Gospel is in the face of JesusChrist.” (see verse 10) Relatives resemble one another, God wants to make us like His Son, not physically, but spiritually. So He comes to us in Jesus in order to make us His Spirit relatives—His blood relatives.
are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.” (Amp) The hidden counsel of God decreed this event.” (See 1 Corinthians 15:51) And by “this event” I mean “men obtaining and being governed by the Holy Spirit,” see verse 8. Nothing that is flesh and blood can partake of the Kingdom of God Who is Jesus, the Father, The Spirit and all His people. But God wants to make us His actual, blood related, children. When a person accepts Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit comes and lives in that person and he is literally born again from the Spirit. A sperm and an egg join together to make an intirely new person. When we are born again the Holy Spirit comes into us and joins to our spirit, 1 Corinthians 6:17 “The person who is united to the LORD is one Spirit with Him.” (Amp) We are born of the LORD. John 3:34 says about Jesus, “boundless is the gift God makes of His Spirit to Him.” So when we have Jesus in us, boundless is the gift God makes of His Spirit to us. Again, someone please call me out if you see that I am believing and promoteing something that is not true.
